Certificate of residence for EU/EEA citizens

An EU/EEA citizen can apply to the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration for a certificate of residence where they reside.

Application forms can be found on the website of the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration.

An EU citizen may stay in Denmark for 3 months without a residence permit. If you find work during that time, you can apply for a certificate of residence. If you have not obtained a certificate of residence within three months of arriving in Denmark and you are still looking for work, you can stay in Denmark for another three months. If you wish to stay in Denmark for more than three or six months, you must apply for a certificate of residence. Please note that you must be able to prove the purpose of your stay by means of documents and that you must have sufficient financial resources. If you are going to work in Denmark, you must submit your employment contract.

Please enclose the necessary documents with your application. Information on required documents can be obtained from the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration.
