New Honorary Consul in Groningen
After 41 years, honorary consul Peter Johan van Dam has ended his tenure as honorary consul for Denmark.
After 41 years of excellent service for Denmark, honorary consul Peter Johan van Dam has ended his tenure as honorary consul for Denmark. The Embassy is grateful for all the efforts Peter Johan van Dam has made over the years both in promoting Danish interests and in assisting Danish citizens.
We are pleased to inform that Casper Lex König has accepted to be Denmark’s new honorary consul in Groningen. Casper Lex König (Cas König) has been appointed honorary consul and the new consular office will be open from 1st of October 2024, with seat in Delfzijl.
As CEO of Groningen Seaports Cas König has a prominent role not least when it comes to the green transition agenda. An agenda to which Denmark attaches great importance and which will shape our joint European future. Cas König will definitely contribute greatly to Denmark’s efforts on this agenda and in general to increased cooperation between Denmark and the Netherlands. Not least the honorary consul also has an important task in assisting Danish citizens.
